Tasting Notes
Vinous – 94
The 2020 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru, which has 50% whole bunch, shows quite a lot of stems on the nose, black pepper and clove plus brown spices infusing the dark berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins, lightly peppered with quite a refined finish not unlike the Chambertin. This constitutes one of the best reds from Bouchard Pere this vintage.
Anticipated maturity: 2026-2046
