Tasting Notes
Vinous – 91
The 2018 Vosne-Romanee Les Petits Monts 1er Cru is very high-toned and a little oaky on the nose, modern in style, though there is plenty of sweet, slightly confit red fruit behind it. The palate is medium-bodied with a delicate medicinal opening. More blue fruit compared to its peers with firm tannins. The oak is just a tad overstated on the finish. This will need time, but it lacks a bit of charm and comes across a bit brazen. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.
