Tasting Notes
Vinous – 90-92
(aged in 40% new oak; the first year this parcel was vinified separately; from a combination of very old and younger vines on deeper soil with a calcaire component):Healthy dark red. Deeply pitched aromas of black cherry, earth and smoky oak. Supple and sweet but juicy and savory too; more open-knit than the 1er Cru blend. Seems a bit lower in acidity but a touch of mint accents the wine’s saline middle palate.
