After my review of a reconditioned bottle last year, this encounter with Domaine Leflaive’s 2006 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru was a salutary reminder of the reality consumers experience with this estate’s wines in the late 2000s and early 2010sa and above all in the 2006 vintage. Entirely oxidized, the wine was undrinkable.
